Ten Local Galleries Part Of The First Friday Chattanooga Art Crawl

On the First Friday of May 2026, ten local galleries and studios in Chattanooga, Tennessee, will participate in the monthly First Friday Art Crawl, with extended evening hours from 5-8 PM. Participating venues include River Gallery, HART Gallery, In-Town Gallery, ICA @ UTC, BFA Open Studios @ UTC, Wavelength Space, Society of Work Northshore at The Velvet Lounge, ClearStory Arts, Stove Works, and AVA – Association for Visual Arts. Several galleries are hosting opening receptions and artist meet-and-greets, featuring artists such as David Boyd, Jim Felder, Steve Loucks, Rick Sanders, Angie To, and Kathleen Thum.

New Downtown Art Series Spotlights Wiregrass Talent

The Wiregrass Museum of Art and Visit Dothan have partnered to launch a new rotating art exhibition series in downtown Dothan, Alabama. The series will feature quarterly exhibitions of Wiregrass-area artists at the Visit Dothan office, starting with Hannah Edgman's show "Beauty Beyond the Orange," which uses clay, acrylic, and watercolor to reinterpret local landscapes. The initiative kicks off during the First Friday Art Crawl on August 1.

‘Back at it again’: Wichita couple re-opens art gallery after hiatus

After a decade-long hiatus, Wichita State alumni and spouses John and Connie Ernatt reopened their art gallery, The Diver Studio, at 424 S Commerce St. in Wichita with a new exhibition on October 24, 2025. The opening drew a large crowd of family, friends, and local art lovers, featuring individual and collaborative works priced from $500 to $12,500, including a piece titled “Cold Sand” with price available upon request. The couple had closed the gallery during the COVID-19 pandemic to renovate the space, and this show marked their first public display in 10 years.
