High Line Art and the Chanel Culture Fund have launched a partnership to co-commission rising artists working in digital and time-based media for High Line Originals, a film series hosted at the High Line Channel in Manhattan. The fourth cycle begins September 10 with the premiere of Frank Wang Yefeng's "Groundless Flower – ཨ" (2025), and the program shifts from a biannual to an annual commissioning cycle. Additional U.S. premieres by Cao Fei, Lu Yang, and Jakob Kudsk Steenson will screen on September 8 and 9, with a group show featuring Petra Cortright in November 2025.

The Whitney Museum of American Art hosted its sold-out 2026 Art Party, a fundraiser organized by the Whitney Contemporaries and co-chaired by comedian Ego Nwodim, artists Martine Gutierrez and Emma Safir, patrons Steven Beltrani and Alexander Hankin, and stylist Micaela Erlanger. The event transformed the museum's ground floor into a dance floor with DJ sets by the Dare and artist Raúl de Nieves, attracting a crowd that included First Lady of New York Rama Duwaji, Martha Stewart, artists Sasha Gordon and Frank WANG Yefeng, and curators Chrissie Iles and Christiane Paul.

Art in America, the sister publication of ARTnews, has announced its Summer 2026 "New Talent" issue, featuring 20 emerging artists selected by the magazine's editors. The list includes international artists working across various mediums, such as Joeun Kim Aatchim, Jenny Calivas, Kiah Celeste, Malo Chapuy, Mitchell Charbonneau, Isaiah Davis, Elizabeth Glaessner, Juliana Halpert, Craig Jun Li, Kinlaw, Koyoltzintli, Kyung-Me, Chyrum Lambert, Terran Last Gun, Satchel Lee, Claudia Pagès Rabal, Ren Light Pan, Emma Safir, Frank Wang Yefeng, and Alexa West.
