Samantha Nye’s ‘Web of Love’ now open at Cuesta’s Miossi Gallery

Artist Samantha Nye's immersive video installation "Web of Love" has opened at the Harold J. Miossi Gallery at Cuesta College's San Luis Obispo campus. The four-screen work is a scene-by-scene remake of an old Scopitone film, featuring legendary Bay Area artists Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, and is designed with a lounge area of heart-shaped hot tubs on red shag carpet.

Central Coast artists share ideas in Cuesta art exhibition

The Harold J. Miossi Art Gallery at Cuesta College hosted a closing ceremony for its latest exhibition, “High Tide,” on August 14. The event featured live jazz music, driftwood sculptures, and refreshments, showcasing works by over 60 local Central Coast artists. Artists were invited to nominate fellow creatives, resulting in a diverse display of paintings, ceramics, assemblage, digital media, and photographs. Coordinator Tim Stark described the exhibition as a reflection of the region's creative ecosystem, built on mutual trust and recognition among artists.

Student Annual Art Exhibition now accepting submissions

Cuesta College’s Harold J. Miossi Gallery has opened submissions for its Spring 2026 Student Annual Art Exhibition, inviting students to submit work across seven categories including painting, sculpture, and digital art. A jury of professional artists, including Christina McPhee and Katie Herzog, will conduct an anonymous review of the physical works to select pieces for the show, which is scheduled to open on April 16.
