Korean Art Masters Ha Chonghyun and RM's Collection Highlight San Francisco Exhibitions

San Francisco's Asian Art Museum and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will host major exhibitions of Korean art this fall. The Asian Art Museum will present the first North American museum retrospective of monochrome master Ha Chonghyun, featuring over 50 works spanning six decades. SFMOMA will debut a special exhibition showcasing the personal art collection of BTS leader RM, juxtaposing over 150 pieces from his holdings with works from the museum's own collection.

Hotel Room Transforms into Media Art Exhibition Space

South Korea's only media art fair, Loop Plus, was held from April 23 to 26 at the Grand Josun Busan Hotel in Haeundae, Busan. Media Artist Transforms Climate, AI Data into Immersive Art

Media artist Kang Lee-Yeon delivered an immersive lecture at the TED 2026 main stage in Vancouver, using a 30-meter screen to visualize climate change and AI data. She then opened her solo exhibition 'Illumination' at Fondation Fiminco in Paris for the 140th anniversary of Korea-France relations, while also debuting works at Milan Design Week and the Loop Plus media art fair in Busan. The National Museum of Korea has opened a new exhibition titled *Danwon Kim Hong-do, Painting the Era* in its renovated painting and calligraphy gallery, showcasing 96 works from 50 collections.
