EPCC holds annual gallery hosting juried student art exhibition

El Paso Community College (EPCC) hosted the grand opening of its 49th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition at the Transmountain campus Gallery of Fine Art. The event featured a wide range of visual art created by students across various disciplines and levels within the college district. Highlighting the evening was an awards ceremony judged by Michael Reyes, an EPCC alumnus and Senior Curator at the El Paso Museum of Art, who recognized top works including Camila Galindo’s "Medieval Sadness," which took home the Best of Show honors.

SRU art students celebrated at Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

Slippery Rock University recently concluded its Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition at the Martha Gault Art Gallery, showcasing the diverse creative output of its student body. Out of 90 submissions, guest juror Clayton Merrell selected 49 pieces for the three-week installation, spanning mediums such as sculpture, painting, printmaking, fiber art, and ceramics. The exhibition culminated in an awards ceremony where senior Kayla Stallings took first place for her sculpture titled "Fur."

HCC Student Artist Brings Good vs. Evil to Life in Striking Painting

Houston Community College student Ruben Rodriguez, who also goes by Dario, created a large painting exploring the theme of good versus evil for the Juried Student Art Exhibition at HCC Spring Branch. The exhibition, hosted by HCC's Media, Visual, and Performing Arts department on April 30, featured works from level 1 and level 2 studio art students across the Spring Branch, Katy, and Alief campuses. Rodriguez's painting incorporates pop culture figures such as Kobe Bryant and Captain America on one side and villainous characters like Marvel's Thanos on the other, illustrating the paths of motivation and discipline versus addiction and greed, inspired by his Christian faith.

The University of Wisconsin-River Falls is hosting its annual Juried Student Art Exhibition from February 23 to March 27 at the Kleinpell Fine Arts Gallery. The free exhibition features works by UWRF students, with a reception and award ceremony scheduled for February 24. The juror for the exhibition is artist Mackenzie Serwa.

Students Recognized At JCC Juried Art Exhibition Opening

Nine students received awards at Jamestown Community College’s Juried Student Art exhibition, which opened recently in the Weeks Gallery on the Jamestown Campus. Winners included Tala Abuhmeidan (Outstanding Achievement in Painting), Alyson Danielson (President’s Award), Nicole Ford (Excellence in Sculpture), Rachel LeRoy (Distinguished Body of Work), Jack Lingenfelter (Innovation in New Media), Jessica Olson (Juror’s Award for Excellence), Zoe Pike (Excellence in Ceramics), Olivia Reynolds (Excellence in Drawing Practices), and Courtney Runge (Distinguished Work in Photography). The exhibition features works from students at JCC’s Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses across media including painting, drawing, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and digital media. Jurors included JCC Art faculty Madison LaVallee, Nathan Jeffery, Mark Kirsch, Brenna Turner, and Tom Makovitch.

Top honors awarded at 2026 Hesston College juried student art exhibit

Hesston College announced the winners of its 2026 Juried Student Art Exhibit. Top honors went to Constance Feldt for her ceramic tile triptych "Tomorrow," Anna Franco for a graphite drawing, Elsa Rayneau for a watercolor, and Evelyn Gaertner for a stoneware teapot. The exhibit is on view through May 1 at the Regier-Friesen Gallery.
