Mathieu Borysevicz, founder of Shanghai's Bank gallery, launched a six-month pop-up on New York's Lower East Side earlier this year, aiming to introduce his program to new audiences amid growing Asian art interest in the city. By mid-summer, however, Borysevicz observed a sharp market downturn as collectors withdrew, reflecting a broader trend of gallery closures, lawsuits, and fair cancellations that have marked a turbulent period for the art world.
W magazine's current art issue features Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence in a three-part collaboration with French filmmaker and artist Philippe Parreno, American painter Elizabeth Peyton, and German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans. Parreno shot a short film starring Lawrence, Tillmans photographed her at his London studio wearing a T-shirt referencing his Centre Pompidou exhibition, and Peyton painted a portrait of the actress in her signature loose, romantic style. The issue has three different covers, each dedicated to one collaborating artist's work.

Photographer Zora Sicher releases her first monograph, *Geography*, published by Dashwood Books, which compiles her personal archive from 2011 to the present. The book features intimate images of friends, tattoos, and everyday life, including a closing photograph of her and Eden with matching ink from 2012. Sicher, who has worked with figures like Paloma Elsesser and brands like Marni, describes the project as a reflection on time, friendship, and the act of making, rather than technical perfection. The book coincides with a show at Dashwood Projects opening on October 3.
