Fourth annual Student Art Exhibition adds more artists and expands sponsors

Marquette University held its fourth annual Student Art Exhibition on April 23, 2026, at the Lemonis Center for Student Success, featuring ten student artists each awarded a $500 stipend to create works around themes such as “Culture & Career,” “Defining Success,” “Belonging at Marquette,” and “Expanding Horizons.” The event, organized by Career Center director Courtney Hanson, included pieces by Jessica Wrobel and Salo Aristizabal, among others, and was sponsored by the Career Center, the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs, the Lemonis Center, Raynor Library, and Enterprise Mobility.

Life Lines // Haggerty

The Haggerty Museum at Marquette University presents "Life Lines," an exhibition running from August 22 to December 20, 2025, featuring works by Sol LeWitt, Jean Dubuffet, and Victor Vasarely. Curated by Lynne Shumow with intern Bridget Neugent, the show is designed to encourage contemplative beholding, inviting visitors to slow down and reflect on the art as a sacred or meditative experience. The exhibition was created in collaboration with Fr. Ryan G. Duns, S.J., whose Contemplation and Action class will visit regularly.

Curated by Kirk Nickel, the show examines themes such as the end times, human sacrifice, imperial decay, and fate, using paintings, prints, and sculpture from Europe and the Americas between the Renaissance and the Industrial Revolution.
