First-Ever Atrium Gallery Exhibition honors Texas Trailblazing Women at McKinney Cotton Mill

MillHouse Foundation, in partnership with Cotton Mill Partners, has launched the inaugural America 250: Texas Trailblazing Wonder Women Exhibition at the newly opened Atrium Gallery inside the McKinney Cotton Mill Arts and Design District in McKinney, Texas. Running from June 12 through August 26, the exhibition features 24 large-scale original works by Texas artists honoring influential Texas women such as Barbara Jordan, Lady Bird Johnson, Ann Richards, Simone Biles, Beyoncé, and Selena Quintanilla. All artworks are available for purchase, and a Meet the Artists Reception on June 27 will announce award recipients including the $5,000 Texas Trailblazer Award.

Morton Contemporary Gallery exhibition will combine art, music and light

Morton Contemporary Gallery in Philadelphia will open “Alchemy: The Sound of Color,” a new exhibition combining painting, music and light, on Saturday, June 6. The show is a collaboration between Los Angeles artist Donna Isham and Emmy and Grammy-winning composer Mark Isham, marking their first exhibition in Philadelphia. It will feature large-scale installations that blend Donna Isham’s paintings with original music, animation and light effects, alongside additional paintings. The opening reception runs from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 6, is free and open to the public, and includes wine and a chance to meet the artists.

Couple to open art gallery with first exhibition in town

Retired businessman and South Norfolk councillor Brendon Bernard and his wife, painter Barbara Bernard, are opening a new art gallery on Broad Street in Bungay, England. Their debut exhibition, titled "A Flying Start," will run from June 8 to June 27, featuring six artists working in painting, original prints, and sculpture, including Jackie Bell, formerly of the now-closed Bell Gallery. The building, over a century old, was once used for storage by American forces during WWII and later as a carpentry workshop; East Suffolk Council approved its conversion into a gallery in March.

Friedman Memorial Airport Hosts Artist Reception Showcasing New Art

Friedman Memorial Airport in the Wood River Valley will host an artist reception on May 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. to unveil its latest art exhibition. The event will feature hors d'oeuvres and beverages, allowing attendees to view new artworks displayed throughout the airport and meet the artists in person, with validated parking provided.
