Exhibition, student art contest fosters 'a culture of positivity' - Innisfil News

The Colour Inspired Academy's 'I Can Change the World' Exhibition and Student Art Contest opens tomorrow at the Lakeshore branch of the Innisfil ideaLAB and Library in Innisfil, Ontario. Thirty-nine artists aged eight to sixteen will showcase paintings and sculptures, with awards presented in four categories (Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and Community Choice). Judges include Mayor Lynn Dollin, Innisfil Arts, Culture and Heritage Council vice chair Jeanette Luchese-Jacobs, and Community 4 Kids representatives Debra Harrison and Charlotte Hamilton. Winners receive Van Gogh Immersive Experience tickets donated by Lighthouse Immersive and Eugenia Protsko. Proceeds from sales benefit Community 4 Kids, a local charity supporting families in need.

Student Art Exhibition, Earth Day Family Day, and Star Wars LEGO® event at The Pearl Fincher Museum

The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts in Texas is hosting a series of spring events, including a student art exhibition titled "Fresh Perspectives: Visionaries of the Next Generation" running from April 2 to May 10, 2025, which features winners of the museum's Student Art Contest, works from the Youth Art Council's "Chronicles: Art in the Spirit of Storytelling," and pieces from Lone Star College students. Additionally, the museum will hold an Earth Day-themed Family Day on April 26 with art activities, a petting zoo, and an Art Market, and a Star Wars LEGO® pop-up event on May 3 in collaboration with the Houston Brick Club. The Cole Gallery is also showcasing "HEARD" by Houston artist Tramaine Townsend, focusing on Black cowboy history, through May 10.

Berthoud’s fine art gallery displays community creativity

Homestead Fine Art Gallery in downtown Berthoud has established itself as a vital community hub, currently representing 23 local artists from Northern Colorado. The gallery recently hosted its third annual student art show, featuring works from Berthoud High School students and concluding with a public awards reception. Managed by volunteer Executive Director Jim Fronapfel, the space operates on a cooperative model where artists juried into the gallery rent space and contribute volunteer hours to maintain operations.
