A chance discovery at the Musée de Grenoble has unearthed two previously unknown photographs of Victorine Meurent, the favorite model of Édouard Manet, taken by Gaudenzio Marconi in 1863. Art historian Laure Boyer, while researching a different subject, recognized Meurent in the images and realized they directly served as studies for Manet's iconic paintings *Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe* and *Olympia*. The photographs show Meurent in poses nearly identical to the figures in both works, with only the orientation reversed in one case and facial expressions swapped between the two paintings.

Serakai Studio presents 'dreamedcore', its second exhibition at GOLD in Hong Kong's Wong Chuk Hang district, running from June 6 to August 1. Curated by Shirley Lau and Tobias Berge, the show blends an art exhibition, concept store, and runway format to explore digital-age nostalgia through the lens of 'dreamcore' aesthetics—drawing on 1990s and early 2000s visual textures. Featuring 22 emerging multi-disciplinary artists and creative practitioners from across Asia, including Li Shuang, Wong Ping, and Peng Ke, the exhibition is divided into two chapters: 'The Lure' and 'The Twist', with a central runway stage, ambient lighting, and a mini cinema screening a video by Wong Ping.

Studio Sessions, a group exhibition featuring works from Vanderbilt Studio Arts and the Engine for Art, Democracy & Justice (EADJ) faculty and staff, concludes its run on September 30, 2025, in Space 204. A closing reception will be held on October 1, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm, offering a final chance to view the works, alongside a live performance by musician and composer Reza Filsoofi, a master of traditional Iranian music and instruments. The exhibition brought together 15 studio art faculty and several staff members, who typically work in their own studios and exhibit elsewhere.
