Taína Cruz, a 26-year-old New York-born artist, is gaining significant attention for her paintings of ghoulish, grimacing figures. She secured gallery representation with Berlin's Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler before graduating from Yale's MFA program and has been selected for two major New York exhibitions this spring: the Whitney Biennial, where she is the youngest artist, and the Greater New York quinquennial at MoMA PS1.
