‘Picasso-Klee-Matisse’ exhibit brings modernist masterpieces to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) is hosting "Picasso-Klee-Matisse: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen" from May 20 to September 13, 2026. The exhibition features dozens of works by Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee, and Henri Matisse from the private collection of dealer and collector Heinz Berggruen, on loan from the Museum Berggruen – Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. The show is organized thematically—portraits, landscapes, still life, and the human figure—and includes paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures, and archival materials, alongside pieces from MFAH's own collection. It has already attracted over 1 million visitors on its international tour.

Dublin’s Monumental Picasso Exhibition Showcases 60 of the Artist’s Masterpieces

The National Gallery of Ireland, in partnership with the Musée national Picasso-Paris, has opened a major exhibition titled "Picasso: From the Studio," featuring 60 works by Pablo Picasso. The show spans five decades of the artist's career, including Cubist portraits, sculptures, still lifes, and rarely seen pieces, with immersive photographic and audio-visual elements that evoke his creative environments in Avignon and the Côte d'Azur. The exhibition runs until February 22, 2026.

Strauss & Co offers accessible works in year-end auctions

Strauss & Co has launched its year-end auctions, featuring five concurrent timed online sessions from 20 November to 8 December 2025, plus a separate contemporary sale titled 'In the Now' running until 9 December. The auctions offer a wide range of modern and contemporary works at accessible price points, including pieces by major South African artists such as Irma Stern, William Kentridge, Sam Nhlengethwa, Norman Catherine, and Alexis Preller. Sessions include 'Re/View' with works from previous auctions, focused sessions on paintings, sculpture, and works on paper, and an 'Art Club' session curated by Strauss & Co specialists.
