Alex Matisse, the great-grandson of Henri Matisse and co-founder of the ceramics company East Fork, has launched a permanent collection in partnership with the estate of Henri Matisse. Alex Matisse, who deliberately avoided painting and drawing to forge his own path in clay, describes the project as a coming-full-circle moment that merges his family lineage with the craft that has defined his creative life.
