The Philharmonie de Paris has launched "Video Games & Music," an immersive exhibition exploring the history and evolution of video game music (VGM). Curated by Fanny Rebillard and Jean Zeid, the show features a non-linear scenography inspired by open-world games, incorporating 29 playable consoles, archival photography by Ira Nowinski, and contemporary art by Mounir Ayache and Invader. The exhibition traces the medium's journey from 8-bit bleeps to complex orchestral scores and its influence on club culture and mainstream pop.

Theater/Arts: New exhibit at PIEAM showcases life in Guam during WWII

The Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum (PIEAM) is launching "So We Leapt – Para I Hinanao-ta Mo’na," an exhibition centered on a rare archive of photographs taken in Guam between 1944 and 1946. Captured by U.S. Army photographer Frank Buchman and curated by Pulitzer Prize-winner Manny Crisostomo, the images move beyond traditional wartime documentation to highlight the daily lives and resilience of the Indigenous CHamoru people. The show is augmented by "Hasso," a contemporary portrait series by Johnny Cepeda Gogo featuring elderly CHamoru survivors of World War II.

Trinity Professor’s Art Installation Comes to Connecticut Museum

The New Britain Museum of American Art has opened "The Museum of the Old Colony," a site-specific installation by Trinity College Professor Pablo Delano. The exhibition uses archival photography, sculptural objects, and text to examine the enduring impact of U.S. colonial rule in Puerto Rico since 1898. For this iteration, Delano has expanded the work to include new materials specifically documenting the history and experiences of the Puerto Rican community within Connecticut.
