Arts Ahead: First Friday, a gallery opening, a film screening and a craft fair

Concord, New Hampshire's downtown galleries and art-related stores will stay open late on Friday for InTown Concord's final First Friday of 2025, themed as an Art Walk with 23 destinations including the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, Go Native Gallery, Pompanoosuc Mills, and Glimpse Gallery. The event runs from 4-8 p.m. with live music, food trucks, and a free trolley. Concurrently, Concord artist Saad Hindal holds a gallery opening at 57 North Main Street from 12-8 p.m., with his work on display until Christmas Eve. The weekend also features a Christmas craft fair at the United Church of Penacook on Saturday and a film screening of "Pressure Drop" at the Bank of New Hampshire Stage on Sunday.

Berthoud’s fine art gallery displays community creativity

Homestead Fine Art Gallery in downtown Berthoud has established itself as a vital community hub, currently representing 23 local artists from Northern Colorado. The gallery recently hosted its third annual student art show, featuring works from Berthoud High School students and concluding with a public awards reception. Managed by volunteer Executive Director Jim Fronapfel, the space operates on a cooperative model where artists juried into the gallery rent space and contribute volunteer hours to maintain operations.

Castleknock Christmas Tree Festival and Art Exhibition

The parishes of Castleknock and Mulhuddart with Clonsilla are hosting a Christmas Tree Festival at St Brigid’s in Castleknock from November 28th to 30th, featuring decorated trees that tell the Christmas story. Alongside the festival, an annual Arts and Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, November 29th, from 12pm to 4pm in the Parish Centre, including an art exhibition and sale by local artists and crafters, plus refreshments, cake stalls, and family activities like Santa’s Grotto and face painting.
