9 Must-See Shows at Paris Gallery Weekend 2025

Paris Gallery Weekend 2025 takes place May 23–25 across 74 galleries in the capital, featuring vernissages, performances, exhibition walkthroughs, and artist talks. Now in its second decade, the event was founded to spotlight Paris’s contemporary art scene and offers a counterpoint to the art fair circuit. Highlights include Sophie Calle’s "SÉANCE DE RATTRAPAGE" at Perrotin, where she revisits unfinished projects from her 2023 Picasso Museum exhibition, and major institutional shows like the David Hockney retrospective at Fondation Louis Vuitton and "Corps et âmes" at Bourse de Commerce. The weekend also includes a new Agnès Varda exhibition at Musée Carnavalet linking her photography to her Montparnasse atelier.

Exhibition Walkthrough: ‘Pat Steir. Song’

Hauser & Wirth Zurich is hosting a guided tour of 'Pat Steir. Song' coinciding with Zurich Art Weekend, led by Corinne Erni, Chief Curator at the Parrish Art Museum. The event includes a preview of 'Ed Clark. Paint is the Subject' on the ground floor. Erni, who joined the Parrish in 2016, has curated numerous exhibitions including works by Shirin Neshat, Nina Yankowitz, Sanford Biggers, and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, and leads the Dorothy Lichtenstein ArtsReach Fund.

Guild Hall Presents Exhibition Walkthrough & Artist Talk With Artist Claire Watson

Guild Hall in East Hampton will host an exhibition walkthrough and artist talk with artist Claire Watson on Thursday, May 21, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. The event accompanies her exhibition “Claire Watson: Re-Paired,” which runs through July 19 and features sculptures and mixed-media assemblages made from salvaged leather garments, deconstructed and reconfigured using traditional sewing and pattern-making techniques. The exhibition includes over fifteen works spanning from 2012 to the present, and the talk will be led by Melanie Crader, museum director and curator of visual arts at Guild Hall.

Tracey Rose Exhibition Walkthrough + Reception

Ruby City in San Antonio is hosting a special celebration of artist Tracey Rose, featuring an exhibition walkthrough led by director Elyse A. Gonzales.
