Raven’s Heart Gallery Summer Show Brings Live Art and Community to Kanab

Raven’s Heart Gallery in Kanab, Utah, will host its Summer Show on June 13, 2026, from 1–4 PM at 57 W. Center St. The free, interactive event features live art-making demonstrations by a roster of Southern Utah artists, including Gail Alger (acrylic animal painting), Angela Woods (oil painting), Rebekka Anderson (color reduction linocut printmaking), Ken Ragsdale (basket illusion technique on wood), David Lane (astrophotography), James Mosdell (lapidary work with Grand Canyon Opal), Ellie Mae Clough (mixed media on encaustic wax), and Gary Kalpakoff (wild mustang photography and metal sculpture). The signature artwork is Gail Alger's 'Raven in Flowers,' and large-scale oil paintings from Cyrus Mejía's 'The Vicktory Dog' and 'Mill Dogs Revenge' collections will also be on view. The gallery, home to more than 30 regional artists, will transform into a working studio with easels, paints, cameras, lapidary equipment, and printmaking presses.

SCV News | May 1: Go Figure Art Exhibit Opens at SCAA Gallery in OTN

The Santa Clarita Artists Association Gallery in Old Town Newhall is presenting "Go Figure," a month-long art exhibit running May 1-31 that explores the human form through a variety of styles and mediums. An opening reception on May 2 from 5-8 p.m. will feature live music by Isabella Bazler and live art demonstrations by Mardilan Georgio and Meressa Naftulin, with free admission and light refreshments.

Opening celebrations for artist-led Woy Woy gallery

A vacant retail space in Deep Water Shopping Centre, Woy Woy, Australia, has been transformed into a new artist-run gallery called Deep Water Art Space. The gallery will officially open on July 5, 2025, with a community celebration featuring free activities for children and adults, a ribbon cutting by Member for Gosford Liesel Tesch, and a roster of rotating exhibitions, workshops, and live art demonstrations by 21 local artists.

PHOTO GALLERY: End-of-year arts exhibition at LC

Lynden Christian High School held its second end-of-year art exhibition on May 6, showcasing work from roughly 160 students. The event in the student lounge featured live art demonstrations, student musical performances, short films from the filmmaking class, snacks, and an awards ceremony. Trophy winners were announced across categories including Outstanding Artist Awards for various levels, Outstanding Filmmaker Awards, Work Ethic Awards, Attitude Awards, and the LCHS Distinguished Artist Award, with Josie Hendricks winning both the Distinguished Artist Award and Best In Show for her piece "Valentine."
