Bolton artists invited to show their work at Bolton Museum

Bolton Museum is inviting local artists to submit their work for the Open Art Exhibition, with submissions due on January 29, 2026, at Bolton Library. Three prizes are on offer: the Young Artist award (ages 16–25, sponsored by Bolton at Home), the Visitors’ Choice award (sponsored by Bromley Art Supplies), and the Winners Prize (sponsored by the Library and Museum service). The judging panel includes Amy Brunn, Professor Kirsty Fairclough, David Gledhill, and the Manchester Young People’s Panel. All mediums except installations and live performances are accepted, and entrants must be aged 16 or over and live, work, or study in Bolton.

Niagara Falls juried art show puts out call for artists

The Niagara Falls culture committee is accepting submissions for its annual juried art exhibition. Local artists have until May 30 to submit up to two original works in mediums like painting, photography, fibre, and digital art, with selected artists notified in June. The exhibition will run from August 6 to November 7 at the Atrium Gallery in The Exchange, featuring cash awards for emerging artists, the mayor's selection, and best in show.

Return of popular Goole open art showcase sparks call-out for local artists

Goole Museum has issued a call for local artists to submit works for its 12th annual Open Art Exhibition, which will open on March 21, 2026. The museum welcomes all mediums including paintings, illustrations, textiles, sculptures, ceramics, and digital entries, with a particular invitation for pieces inspired by Goole's bicentenary—200 years since the town was built as a purpose-built port. Submissions can be dropped off on specified dates in early March, and the exhibition runs until May 16.

'Daring' new gallery to open with aim of making art ‘accessible to everyone’

A new art gallery called Future Rebel Art Gallery is set to open on Canal Street in Stourbridge, UK, founded by local artist Cal. Housed beneath the vintage store Grandad’s Attic opposite the Bonded Warehouse, the space aims to display contemporary and thought-provoking works from artists aged 17 to 70, including sculptures, mixed media, audio-visual art, and interactive pieces. All works will be for sale, and the gallery plans to host around five exhibitions per year, each running for ten weeks. The opening on August 23 will feature food, drinks, live music, and creativity.
