Dutch national photo collection opens in new Rotterdam home

The Nederlands Fotomuseum, the Dutch national photo collection, has opened in a new, purpose-built home in Rotterdam. The museum, which holds over 6.5 million images, moved from its previous mixed-use location into a converted and expanded former coffee warehouse, designed to offer public views into its conservation archives and featuring interactive displays.

The Franco Fossati Foundation's Museo del Fumetto (Comics Museum), which was evicted from Milan due to a €180,000 debt to the city, has found a new permanent home in Monza. The Monza city council approved the foundation's proposal on April 30, paving the way for the renovation of a former library in the Cederna district, which has been abandoned for years. The archive of 500,000 pieces will be temporarily stored in Desio while the Monza building is refurbished with €850,000 from the municipality and additional funds from the foundation.

Coral Springs museum to honor Clyde Butcher, America at 250 before its relocation

The Coral Springs Museum of Art will present a double-feature exhibition from June 5 to August 1, 2025, as its final show before relocating to the Cornerstone complex in downtown Coral Springs. The exhibition includes "Clyde Butcher: Lifeworks in Photography," featuring 45 large-format prints of Everglades and global landscapes by the renowned photographer, and "Across this Land: America at 250," a multimedia contemporary collection exploring landscapes, waterways, and urban environments in honor of the nation’s 250th birthday. The museum will also host a lecture and book signing with Clyde Butcher on June 13.
