parties young arts gala 2026 met museum

YoungArts hosted its 2026 gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur, honoring actor Marisa Tomei with the Arison Award and featuring ballerina Misty Copeland and artist Glenn Ligon as honorary co-chairs. The event drew a crowd of notable arts figures including Mikhail Baryshnikov, Anne Pasternak, Max Hollein, Cecilia Alemani, and artists KAWS, Taryn Simon, and Camille Henrot, with performances by YoungArts alumni directed by Caleb Teicher.

The Haas Brothers’ Creative Creations Are on Tour

The Haas Brothers, twin artists Simon Haas and Nikolai Haas, are the subject of a midcareer survey exhibition that is currently touring the United States. The show highlights their whimsical, colorful, and often functional sculptures and furniture pieces that blend craft, design, and fine art.

Take a walk on the wild side with the Haas Brothers' fantastical new show

The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York has opened "Uncanny Valley," a major exhibition dedicated to the Los Angeles-based duo Nikolai and Simon Haas. The show features 85 works spanning 15 years of their practice, showcasing their signature blend of art, furniture, and craft through zoomorphic sculptures and kooky forms. Organized in collaboration with the Cranbrook Art Museum, the exhibition places these physical objects against surreal, algorithmically-generated backdrops that explore the intersection of human craftsmanship and digital technology.
