5 Artists on Our Radar This April

Tribeca Gallery Night brings together more than 80 spaces

On Friday, May 15, more than 80 galleries in New York's Tribeca neighborhood will stay open late for Tribeca Gallery Night, from 6pm to 8pm. Three new galleries are joining the event: Tappeto Volante Gallery (opening at 4 Cortlandt Alley with a show of painter Angelo Vasta), Gratin (opening at 15 White Street with a solo show for Spanish artist Mónica Mays), and Southern Guild (relocated from Los Angeles to 75 Leonard Street, featuring solo shows for Usha Seejarim and Mmangaliso Nzuza).

Felix LA has announced the 57 exhibitors for its eighth edition, taking place February 26 to March 1, 2026, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, with a VIP preview on February 25. The fair includes a mix of established galleries such as Corbett vs. Dempsey, Luis De Jesus Los Angeles, and Yossi Milo, alongside emerging spaces like ATLA, One Trick Pony, and Plato. Over 20 galleries are participating for the first time, including New York Life Gallery, Feia, and Som Gallery, with international participants from Kyoto, Toronto, Milan, Busan, and Buenos Aires.

Emerging artist John Singletary featured in Oolong Gallery’s ‘Sun Goin’ Down’

Oolong Gallery in La Jolla, California, is presenting 'Sun Goin’ Down,' the first solo exhibition of painter John Singletary, a 2025 UC San Diego MFA graduate. The show features a series of haunting, symbolic paintings that explore memory, myth, and themes of death, love, and fear through techniques like sgraffito and sanding. It runs through June 25, with a special Juneteenth event planned for June 19.
