STPI is launching the inaugural Print Show and Symposium Singapore during Singapore Art Week (January 22–31, 2026). The event will feature over 27 internationally acclaimed contemporary artists—including Jeff Koons, Louise Bourgeois, Takashi Murakami, and Do Ho Suh—showcasing their engagement with printmaking. A symposium titled "The Politics of Print: elephant in the room," curated by Stephanie Bailey, will bring together 25 curators, museum directors, and artists such as Michael Craig-Martin, Adele Tan, Sook-Kyung Lee, and Pinaree Sanpitak for six panels over two days.
The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University has opened "Dis/orient," a new exhibition featuring works by nine artists from the Asian diaspora. The show includes a raindrop-shaped mirror, stacks of Botan rice bags, burned denim on canvas, and a video of a man attempting to chop an apple on a spinning record player. Curatorial associate Julianne Miao explains that the exhibition confronts orientalism and stereotypes about Asian art, which is often reduced to ancient scrolls and ceramics. Dib Bangkok, a long-anticipated contemporary art museum, opens this weekend in a former steel warehouse near Bangkok's port area. Founded from the vision of the late collector Petch Osathanugrah and realized by his son Purat 'Chang' Osathanugrah, the museum houses over 1,000 works amassed over 40 years, including pieces by James Turrell, Alicja Kwade, Pinaree Sanpitak, and Subodh Gupta. Its opening exhibition, (In)visible Presence, features 81 works by 40 international and Thai artists, positioning the museum as a major new cultural institution in Asia.
