New gallery for Sheboygan Visual Artists to have grand opening

The Sheboygan Visual Artists (SVA) collective is preparing for the grand opening of its new permanent home at 534 S. Pier Drive in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The facility, which includes the Ebenreiter Gallery and dedicated studio spaces for local artists, will host an official open house celebration on March 7, 2026. The new venue showcases works from various members, including photography by Tom Ferguson and mixed media by Tracy Bezesky and Rob Burkhard.

The CaminARTE art walk returns to historic downtown Laredo, Texas, on the first Friday of February. Youth Art Exhibition Celebrates Local Talent

The 2025 Mansfield Youth Art Exhibition concluded its month-long run at the Mansfield Information Centre Gallery, showcasing works by seven local artists aged 14 to 20. The exhibition launched on September 5 with an opening attended by 40 guests, featuring live music by Alana Beattie. Two awards were presented: the Amplify Artist Award to Abigail Wettenhall for her multi-medium display, and the 'Framing the Future' People's Choice Award to Molly Purcell for her oil and acrylic painting Obsidian, which won over 200 public votes.

Sawtell Art Gallery’s 37th show a success

Sawtell Art Gallery's 37th Annual Show opened on June 28 with a celebratory party attended by exhibitors and community members. The exhibition featured nine prize categories, each with a $500 award, plus a $100 Youth category, sponsored by local businesses and organizations. Winners included Jordanna Hinton, Jayden Whitton, Bronwyn Fife, Helen Goldsmith, Andrea Hitchcock, Willie Berkof-Ober, Nico Reynolds, Shellie Kelly, Sharon Sykes, Lachlan Wainwright, Max Greenaway, and Stella Dodd. The People's Choice Award is pending announcement at the exhibition's close.

Blue Phrog Gallery closing doors in downtown Montevallo

The Blue Phrog Gallery, a staple of the downtown Montevallo art scene for over 15 years, has announced its permanent closure. Founded in 2009 by Phil and Suzanne Hurst in a repurposed bank building, the gallery served as a primary venue for Alabama-based artists and University of Montevallo students to showcase and sell their work. The building at 955 Main Street is currently listed for sale following the recent passing of co-founder Phil Hurst.
