Johnson Gallery of Art at Carthage College is hosting its first round of spring senior thesis exhibitions, featuring the work of graduating students Jake Janovicz, Mauricio Rebollar-López, and Aj Stockdale. The showcase includes a diverse range of media, from Janovicz’s photography and animation projects titled “Stop and Think” and “Distraction,” to Rebollar-López’s politically charged multi-media installation “Oh American the Great,” and Stockdale’s interactive digital and found-object assembly titled “Trepidation.”

Three student artists awarded with monetary prizes at gallery opening

Three student artists from Wichita State University were awarded cash prizes totaling $2,500 during the 8th annual Emerging Artists reception at ShiftSpace Gallery. Juror and New York-based artist Ann Resnick selected Aly Horn, JaiDe Brown, and Savanna Nichols for the honors, which were sponsored by local businesses and the Art and Design Advocates. The exhibition, featuring work from the winners and twelve other students, showcases a range of disciplines including ceramics, photolithography, and MFA-level conceptual projects.

Art Department announces spring 2026 exhibitions, True Inspiration Artist in Residence

Furman University's Department of Art has announced its spring 2026 exhibition schedule at the Thompson Art Gallery, featuring three shows: Jessica Lambert's "Sportsball" (Jan. 12-Feb. 13), Alexa Wheeler's "ToastLab" (Feb. 19-March 27), and the 2026 Senior Thesis Exhibition.
