Art Department announces spring 2026 exhibitions, True Inspiration Artist in Residence

Furman University's Department of Art has announced its spring 2026 exhibition schedule at the Thompson Art Gallery, featuring three shows: Jessica Lambert's "Sportsball" (Jan. 12-Feb. 13), Alexa Wheeler's "ToastLab" (Feb. 19-March 27), and the 2026 Senior Thesis Exhibition. Wheeler will also serve as the spring 2026 True Inspiration Artist in Residence, working in an open studio and collaborating with university departments and the Greenville community. Enzo fair is fun and fee-free

The inaugural Enzo art fair has launched in Echo Park, Los Angeles, featuring nine galleries primarily from New York’s Chinatown and Lower East Side. Founded by collector R Parmar at Alabaster Projects, the fair operates on a unique fee-free model for exhibitors and visitors alike, removing the traditional financial barriers of booth fees and wall build-outs. 'Evidence of Us' by E. Tyler Burton at the County Museum

The San Bernardino County Museum presents 'Evidence of Us,' a new exhibition by artist E. Tyler Burton, running from May 9 through September 6. The show features sculptures, projections, textile installations, cyanotypes, and participatory elements that explore the material record of contemporary life, using everyday items like plastic bottles, clothing, and packaging as artifacts. An opening reception will be held on May 9 from 3–6 p.m.

Artist Hu Yuehua presented a large-scale textile installation titled "Weaving Nature" at the 13th edition of Design Shanghai. The work is a dense, wall-like garden composed of stitched and dyed cotton and linen elements in indigo and ochre, forming leaves, blooms, and growths that highlight the artist's hand through loose threads, raw edges, and pleats.
