Palestinian American artist Samia Halaby has experienced a dramatic surge in market value and institutional recognition over the past decade, with eight of her top 10 auction results occurring in the last three years. Her first US museum survey opened in 2024 at Michigan State University's Eli and Edyth Broad Art Museum, and her work has been shown at MoMA, Tate Modern, and the Centre Pompidou, which acquired a piece last year.

Three of the six most featured artists have Native American backgrounds, reflecting a surge in exhibitions celebrating Indigenous art. Antony Gormley: ‘Everything I make now is a surprise to me’
