Local artists shine in Fayetteville’s Public Works Community Art Exhibition

The 2025 Public Works Community Art Exhibition in Fayetteville, North Carolina, organized by the Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County and sponsored by the Fayetteville Public Works Commission, features over 125 artworks from local artists of all skill levels. Among the participants is Michael Marcotte, a U.S. Army soldier who won the People's Choice Award last year for his lifelike tiger drawing "Welcome to the Jungle," and this year submitted a pencil portrait of a bald eagle. The exhibition, which opened May 29 and runs through July 5, includes categories for amateur, new, semi-professional, professional, and youth artists, with public voting determining the top awards.
