Delaware’s largest class of artist fellows takes spotlight at Biggs Museum
The Biggs Museum of American Art in Dover, Delaware, will host 'Award Winners XXVI,' an annual exhibition opening June 4 that features the state’s largest-ever class of Individual Artist Fellows. The 27 fellows, working across sculpture, painting, poetry, fiction, music composition, folk arts, photography, and video, will be honored at an awards ceremony and performances at the Schwartz Center for the Arts before a reception at the museum. The Delaware Division of the Arts is investing $184,000 in this year’s fellows, including $12,000 for Master Fellow Dennis Beach, a Wilmington-based sculptor, and varying amounts for Established and Emerging Professional Fellows. The exhibition will later travel to the Historic Odessa Foundation and the CAMP Rehoboth Community Center.
