Young artists invited to submit work to new East Dunbartonshire exhibition

East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust is launching its first-ever Young Artists’ Art Exhibition, open to creatives aged 14 to 25 who live, work, or study in the area. The exhibition will run from August 15 to September 15 at the Auld Kirk Museum in Kirkintilloch, with a submission deadline of July 25. Artists can submit works in paint, pastels, watercolours, or oils, and will have the chance to win one of three prizes.

New art exhibition to open this summer as part of Glasgow International 2026

A new two-person exhibition titled "Painting, our mutual friend" will open at Glasgow Print Studio on June 4, 2026, as part of Glasgow International 2026. Featuring artists Lorna Robertson and Andrew Cranston, who are life partners, the show runs through August 1 and includes etchings, monoprints, watercolours, and oil paintings that explore their individual and shared experiences. The works were developed through experimental residencies at the studio between 2025 and 2026.

Young Highland painter brings bold new works to Glasgow gallery

Finn Robinson, a young painter from the Scottish Highlands, will present his solo exhibition 'Caught in the Act' at the Horsepower gallery in Glasgow. The show, running from February 13 to March 1, features new paintings that repurpose imagery from art history, social media, and personal archives, stripping them of their original context to create new meaning.
