Shenzhen International Museum of Art opens as new gateway for global art exchange

The Shenzhen International Museum of Art (SIMoA) officially opened to the public on May 30, debuting as a major cultural landmark in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its inaugural program features seven exhibitions, including masterpieces from the Budapest Museum of Fine Arts, a display of the bronze zodiac heads from the Old Summer Palace, and a contemporary art show titled "New Links" with about 50 works by leading international artists. The building itself is designed with an elevated main structure, commercial streets, gallery spaces, and a distinctive "Moon Gate" element, aiming to create an accessible public art environment.
