Volodymyr Topiy exhibition at Limerick Museum up to June 30

Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Topiy has opened his exhibition 'From The Life of Trees' at Limerick Museum, running until June 30, 2026. The show features a series of paintings that explore themes of war, memory, corporeality, and the transformation of urban space through violence, with human figures merging with architectural debris. Curated by Maurice Quillinan, the exhibition also includes performances by invited artists Wioletta Ratajczak and Deej Fabyc on select dates.

Limerick Museum Sybil Connolly exhibition opens until July 31

Limerick Museum has opened 'Dressed to Impress: Sybil Connolly and the Art of Irish Elegance', an exhibition celebrating the life and work of Sybil Connolly, one of Ireland's most renowned fashion designers. Curated by Dr. Zara Power, the show features rarely seen garments, including a piece worn by Máirín Lynch, as well as maquettes, sketches, and interior design objects on loan from the Hunt Museum and Cork Public Museum. The exhibition runs until July 31, 2026, and admission is free.

WATCH ArtUA fifth anniversary exhibition ‘Revived by Art’ launches at People’s Museum of Limerick

The Ukrainian Art Studio ArtUA has launched its fifth anniversary exhibition, 'Revived by Art', at the People's Museum of Limerick, running from November 1 to 15, 2025. The exhibition features 150 works by nearly 40 artists, both Ukrainian and other nationalities, aged six to seventy-seven, using techniques such as painting, graphics, decorative arts, and graphic design. Founded by Ukrainian artist and teacher Lyubov Makarenko, who fled Mariupol after the Russian invasion, ArtUA has been holding free art classes at the Redemptorist Church in Limerick since July 2022. The exhibition focuses on personal memories and places dear to the artists, including Mariupol, Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Limerick, reflecting nostalgia, pain, and love.
