Bittersweet streets: a look at artist Julian Pinnick's new exhibition at Broadway Gallery
Local artist Julian Pinnick is preparing a new exhibition at Broadway Gallery in Nottingham, featuring oil paintings and colored pencil works that capture the city's changing urban landscape. Pinnick, who studied Fine Art at De Montfort University and was shortlisted for the A&I Artist of the Year award in 2014, creates composite studio compositions from photographs taken over time, memorializing independent shops and street scenes that are disappearing due to redevelopment and chain stores.
