Art exhibition inspired by historic silk pattern books opens at the Silk Museum

A group of textile artists from the Threadmill collective has opened a new exhibition titled 'Time and Place' at the Silk Museum in Macclesfield. The show draws inspiration from the museum's historic silk pattern books, with each artist creating contemporary interpretations using techniques such as hand stitching, machine embroidery, felting, and working with wool. The exhibition includes tactile pieces designed for visually impaired visitors and runs from June 3 to July 25, with accompanying 'Meet the Artists' events.
