Art in the Multicultural Center Opening Reception: "I Am My Ancestors" by Jean Bernard Thomas

Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Haitian American Art Network, Inc. will present an exhibition titled "I Am My Ancestors" by Haitian-born painter Jean Bernard Thomas at the Orange County Multicultural Center Art Gallery in Orlando, Florida. An opening reception is scheduled for May 13, 2026, with the display running through June 16, 2026. Thomas, a co-artistic director of HAAN, creates works blending still life, abstract, and surrealist styles that explore humanity's relationship with nature and Haiti's cultural heritage.

Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs is launching a new solo exhibition titled “Standing Firm” featuring the work of artist Robert Rell. Hosted at the Orange County Multicultural Center Art Gallery in Orlando, the exhibition opens with a public reception on April 15, 2026, and showcases Rell’s evolution from a comic-inspired youth to a painter influenced by the creative freedom of Newark’s graffiti scene.

CALLING LOCAL ARTISTS: Submissions Now Open for 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit

The Hispanic Heritage Network of Orange County (HHNOC) is now accepting submissions for its 2025 Hispanic Heritage Month Art Exhibit, themed "Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future." Artists are invited to submit original visual artwork inspired by Hispanic heritage, with selected pieces to be displayed at the Orange County Administration Building in Downtown Orlando from September 8 to October 23, 2025, and at Orlando International Airport from September 10 to October 28, 2025. Submissions must be completed online by August 1, 2025, and include an artist statement and high-resolution images.
