Paint San Clemente Returns for Coastal-Inspired Art Celebration
The San Clemente Art Association's annual Paint San Clemente event returns June 13-21, bringing artists from across Southern California for a weeklong plein air painting competition, a three-hour Quick Draw contest, an awards reception, and a two-day outdoor art exhibit and sale. The event, now in its 24th year, features artists painting coastal views, neighborhoods, and landmarks in San Clemente and San Onofre, with scholarships awarded to three local high school students. Returning artist Sangeetha Gopalakrishnan, a former electrical engineer turned full-time landscape painter, highlights the strong community connection and appreciation for local scenery.
