Block Party and Art Exhibition Set for State College’s 7th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
State College will hold its seventh annual Juneteenth celebration on June 19–20, 2025, featuring a downtown block party and an art exhibition at the Woskob Family Gallery. The exhibition, opening June 19, showcases works by artists including Kennedy Ferguson, Barry King, June Ramsay, Helen Velasquez Martinez, Aisha Watson, and Irvin Moore, exploring themes of identity, community, and freedom through painting, photography, sculpture, and textile art. The block party on June 20 includes live music headlined by Maya Azucena, a youth double-dutch team from Washington, D.C., food vendors, and community activities.
