Delhi’s art scene expands: New galleries, bigger spaces

Delhi's art scene is experiencing a wave of expansion, with several new galleries opening and existing ones relocating to larger spaces. Notable developments include Anant Art Gallery moving from Noida to a flagship space in Safdarjung Enclave, designed by Studio Lotus, and Gallery Dotwalk opening a second location in Defence Colony. Shrine Empire Gallery has also moved within Defence Colony to a 2,400 sq ft immersive space, while Gallery Espace added a floor and Centre for Culture & Art reopened in Lutyen's Delhi. Women’s handmade folk art blooms in Pune

The Kalachaya Darpan Art Gallery in Pune is hosting a three-day exhibition titled "Strokes of Devotion," featuring handmade traditional Indian folk art created by 18 women from Studio Art for All. Founded by Shraddha Trivedi, the studio has trained over 10,000 students globally in indigenous art forms, ranging from Mata ni Pachedi to Varakari traditions. The showcase highlights freehand interpretations of spiritual themes, including the Dashavatara and Hanuman Chalisa, created by women balancing careers in medicine, law, and technology.

New studio comes up in Chandigarh to ‘give Tricity’s art culture a new boost’

Multifaceted artist Poonam Arora has established a new art studio called 'Studio Art Life' in NAC, Manimajra, Chandigarh, to support both emerging and established artists. The studio opened with a multi-artist exhibition featuring 14 artists, 22 paintings, three sculptures, and a collection of decoupage artworks, running from October 30 to November 2, 2025. Arora, who previously struggled to find exhibition spaces as a solo artist, aims to provide a collaborative platform for artists to create, exhibit, and connect.
