Fight in the Museum: Q&A with Sean Carney

Sean Carney, a painter and longtime art teacher at Lawrence High School, discusses his artistic journey and evolving practice in a Q&A with Thomas Kelly. Carney, who works with water-based wood stains on wood panels, recently shifted his subject matter from cityscapes to iconic automobiles in his "Driven by Design" series, inspired by a visit to the Saratoga Automobile Museum. His work has been exhibited at Barsky Gallery in Hoboken and other venues, and he credits influences including professors Ray Statlander and Ben Jones, as well as artist Mel Leipzig.

BRAVO! Listen Up! Students’ Exhibition at Groza Art Studio

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) has launched its annual “BRAVO! Listen Up!” exhibition at the Adriana Groza Art studio, featuring visual and written works by thirty-two middle school students. The participants created these pieces in response to composer Andreia Pinto Correia’s orchestral work "Ciprés," following a creativity workshop led by artist April Zay. The collection includes a diverse range of media, from traditional watercolors and acrylics to 3D sculptures made of rosewood and yarn.

“Photography as a Way of Life” at PU Art Museum

The Princeton University Art Museum has unveiled "Photography as a Way of Life," a major exhibition running from April 19 through September 7. Phillips’ Mill’s “96th Juried Art Show” Opens Sept. 20

Phillips’ Mill Community Association will host its 96th Juried Art Show from September 20 to October 26 at the historic grist mill in New Hope, Pennsylvania. “Selma Burke African American Art Show” at Phillips’ Mill

Phillips’ Mill Community Association in New Hope, Pennsylvania, has announced a new exhibition titled “The Selma Burke Invitational African American Art Show,” running from May 31 through June 29.
