An exhibition opens at Brodsworth Hall in Yorkshire celebrating the life and passion of Sylvia Grant-Dalton, the house's long-term custodian. Grant-Dalton's refusal to modernize the Victorian house during her 57-year residence preserved it as a unique time capsule, which led to its acquisition by English Heritage. The exhibition highlights her eccentric dedication and the significance of her stewardship, which saved an important example of Victorian architecture and interior design for the nation.
