The Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) has announced a new art fair, the ADAA Fair, set to take place at the Park Avenue Armory from November 12–16, 2026. This follows the cancellation of the 2025 edition of its long-running Art Show, prompted by the end of a partnership with the charity Henry Street Settlement, which had hosted the fair's VIP opening as a fundraiser. The ADAA plans to refocus on supporting visual arts and museums, with the ADAA Foundation continuing to provide grants to U.S. institutions.
The shift matters because the ADAA Art Show was the longest-running art fair in the U.S., a staple of New York's social calendar since 1989. Its cancellation came amid a multi-year contraction of the art market that saw prominent galleries close, but the new fair arrives as tentative optimism grows following successful November auctions. The ADAA Fair represents a strategic reinvention for the organization, aiming to be more responsive to current cultural needs while deepening support for museums and cultural organizations nationwide.
