The 22nd annual Juried Art Exhibition opened at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts on Saturday, featuring over 150 submissions from local artists. Juror Lisa Hirmer announced awards including first place (Jill Summerhayes award) to Melissa Rempel, second to Dianne McBride, third to Bill Praught, and honourable mentions to Vanessa Pejovic, Kathryn Tyrrell, and Sue Sturdy. The exhibition is organized by the Cambridge Arts Guild and runs until November 15.
The exhibition highlights the Cambridge Arts Guild's mission to enhance artistic experiences and support the Cambridge Centre for the Arts, reflecting the city's commitment to local visual arts. Such community-driven shows provide vital platforms for emerging and established regional artists, fostering cultural engagement and showcasing the depth of talent in smaller urban centers.
