This year’s edition emphasizes emerging talent through its 'Promesses' sector and introduces a strong curatorial focus with two thematic paths: 'Reparation,' curated by Alexia Fabre, and 'Babel,' curated by Loïc Le Gall. The latter explores the intersection of language, signs, and translation through the work of 20 artists from the French scene.
The fair’s evolution reflects its growing status as a major fixture in the global art calendar, successfully attracting high-profile international galleries like Esther Schipper alongside local stalwarts. By integrating a 40,000-euro prize sponsored by BNP Paribas Banque Privée for the 'Babel' sector, the event transitions from a purely commercial platform to a site of critical discourse, highlighting the enduring relevance of textual and semiotic exploration in contemporary art.
