Clothing Brand Hurley Is Collaborating with Keith Haring Estate on Capsule Collection

Streetwear brand Hurley, known for surf and swim apparel, has released a capsule collection inspired by the late artist Keith Haring. The collection includes T-shirts, board shirts, hats, bathing suits, and sweatshirts for men and women, with prices ranging from $28 to $100. Haring, who died of AIDS-related causes in 1990 at age 31, was internationally known for his graffiti-inspired artworks and recurring motifs like radiant babies and dancing figures.

This collaboration matters because it continues the Keith Haring Foundation's licensing model, which was established after the artist's death and the closure of his Pop Shop in 2005. Haring was one of the earliest artists to blend art and commerce, opening the Pop Shop in 1986, and the foundation now uses licensing to support HIV advocacy and inner-city arts education. The partnership reflects ongoing commercial interest in Haring's iconic imagery while funding his philanthropic legacy.
