The PinchukArtCentre has officially opened applications for the 8th edition of the Future Generation Art Prize, a biannual global initiative established by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation. Open to artists worldwide aged 35 or younger, the prize accepts submissions across all media until June 28, 2026. A selection committee will shortlist 21 artists—including the winner of the PinchukArtCentre Prize—to commission new works for an exhibition in Kyiv, with the main winner receiving a total of $100,000 in cash and practice investment.
Since its inception in 2009, the prize has served as a significant career springboard for emerging talent, with past winners such as Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and Cinthia Marcelle achieving major international success at venues like the Venice Biennale and the Serpentine Gallery. The 2024 winner, Ashfika Rahman, highlighted the prize's role in providing global visibility and fostering a long-term community of practitioners. The upcoming cycle will culminate in a shortlist announcement in September 2026, followed by an exhibition and award ceremony in the spring of 2027.
