The 2026 edition of VARIOUS OTHERS is set to transform Munich into a vibrant hub for contemporary art from May 14 to 24. The festival features a dense program of exhibitions, performances, and talks across 39 venues, including major museums, galleries, and artist-run spaces. Highlights of the opening weekend include the reopening of the Museum Villa Stuck after extensive renovations, a dialogic tour with collector Ingvild Goetz, and the debut of 'Vectors,' a project that converts corporate offices into temporary exhibition spaces inspired by Jan Hoet’s 'Chambres d’Amis.'
Significant artistic dialogues are a cornerstone of this year's program, such as the collaboration between max goelitz and Hauser & Wirth featuring Eva Hesse, and the ERES Stiftung’s exploration of quantum physics and Venetian ecology through the work of Giorgio Andreotta Calò. The festival also addresses critical contemporary issues, with Kunstraum München hosting performances that interrogate colonial collection policies and technological visibility. The festivities conclude with a final event at the Blitz Music Club, marking one of the venue's last major gatherings before its scheduled closure in August 2026.
