Kulturlab Creator Exhibits Work in Elizalde Street Space

Kulturlab, a contemporary art space in Laudio, has opened a new exhibition titled 'Leku bat' (A Place) in its Elizalde Street location, featuring works by one of its co-founders. The artist, who usually works behind the scenes to support others, has curated pieces from the last decade exploring materials, abstraction, and the relationship between painting and space, inspired by their thesis 'Habitar la pintura' (Inhabiting Painting). The exhibition aims to foster dialogue within the space and reflect on contemporary art and spatial management.

This exhibition matters because it represents a strategic move by Kulturlab to keep its space active and promote artists' work amid delays in funding. It also signals the organization's broader ambitions to expand its network, relocate to Lamuza Park, and establish a cultural hub that creates employment through culture. The show serves as a precursor to future projects, including a planned exhibition at the Zas hall in Vitoria-Gasteiz, highlighting the artist's two decades of research and evolving practice.
