"Voices Together" exhibit coming to Goshen College’s Good Library Art Gallery

A new exhibition titled "Voices Together: Connecting through Art and Music" opens at Goshen College’s Harold and Wilma Good Library Gallery from September 11 to November 18, 2022. The show features 19 original paintings and prints by 12 artists, all drawn from the "Voices Together" hymnal published in 2020 for Mennonite Church USA. A public reception with remarks from Bradley Kauffman, Randy Horst, and Joe Springer is scheduled for September 18. The traveling exhibit originated at Bethel College in Kansas and is sponsored by the Marpeck Fund and the Mennonite Amish Museum Committee of Goshen College.

This exhibit matters because it connects visual art with sacred music, highlighting how contemporary artists contribute to worship resources for a major denomination. By displaying original hymnal artwork alongside historic Mennonite hymnals, the show bridges past and present traditions, offering the local community and college a chance to engage with faith-based artistic expression in a free, public setting.
