Craighead Green Gallery in Dallas has announced the 50 artists selected for the 33rd edition of its annual New Texas Talent exhibition, which opens June 27, 2026. The show features emerging Texas artists including Ariel Davis, Fathima Farha, and Eric Shaw, chosen from a record nearly 600 submissions by juror Daisha Board, founding director of Daisha Board Gallery.
The New Texas Talent exhibition, established in 1993, provides a crucial platform for Texas artists who have not yet secured gallery representation, often leading to further opportunities such as press coverage, other exhibitions, and eventual gallery deals. This year's record submissions and the juror's emphasis on artists with a clear point of view underscore the ongoing vitality and depth of the Texas art scene, while the inclusion of artists who have been creating for decades challenges conventional notions of what it means to be "new."
