American photographer Talia Chetrit, known for her analogue photography exploring intimacy, selfhood, and the everyday, will have her first institutional solo exhibition in Spain at this year's PHotoESPAÑA festival. Titled "Bunny," the show is curated by Stella Bottai and organized by the Loewe Foundation, bringing together nearly three decades of Chetrit's work—from early street shots and nudes to never-before-seen images. Chetrit became a frequent collaborator of Loewe's creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez after they appointed her to shoot a campaign for the house in 2025.
This exhibition matters because it marks a significant institutional recognition for Chetrit, whose practice bridges fashion photography and the creative avant-garde. PHotoESPAÑA's 2025 theme of 'Reimagining' challenges conventional visions of reality, and Chetrit's analogue, deeply personal work—spanning provocation, innocence, family, and selfhood—offers a vivid counterpoint to digital image-making. The collaboration also underscores the growing intersection between luxury fashion houses and fine-art photography, with the Loewe Foundation playing an active curatorial role in the festival.
