Art Center Nabi Reopens on June 11 Following Its Independent Move to Sagan-dong

Art Center Nabi, Korea's first museum dedicated to media art, will reopen on June 11, 2026, after relocating from the SK Group headquarters to an independent building in Sagan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul. Under the direction of Noh So-Young, the reopening is marked by a solo exhibition titled 《A Pregnant Pause》 by kinetic installation artist Han Jinsu, featuring paintings and kinetic works exploring latent vitality. The museum also announced four additional exhibitions, forums, seminars, and talk concerts for the year, and has signed an MOU with the IBS Center for Quantum Nanoscience.

This reopening matters because it marks a significant transition for Art Center Nabi from a corporate-affiliated space to an independent institution, allowing it to operate the entire building as a museum. As a pioneering media art museum in Korea with a 26-year history, this move positions it to grow into a future-oriented cultural platform where technology, nature, art, and the urban environment intersect, continuing its legacy of exploring contemporary art and technology through exhibitions, research, and public programs.
